Another riday here already! I can hardly believe how fast this week has sped by. I know for a lot of you it’s your first week of summer vacation, and the last thing you want to think of is packing a lunch, but kids still have to eat in the summer time, so here are our summer time eats from yesterday.
I mentioned that I’ve been trying to get the kids to try new things, they’ve been in a serious peanut butter and jelly rut for much too long. Yesterday they tried Tuna Salad Sandwiches for the first time, they were a hit, even if the kids were a bit apprehensive about trying them at first.
The kids’ will be attending a new school in the fall and it’s gone nut free, so I’m spending the summer expanding their little palates away from their beloved PB&J’s. I know people get a little crazy when school’s are nut free, but I think it’s better to err on the side of caution if there are any children in the school with life threatening allergies and I am A-OK with finding new foods to put in Kolton and Kaylee’s lunch bags.
Packed in EasyLunchBoxes, they had:
- Tuna Salad Sandwiches on Toasted Wheat Bread
- Sugar Snap Peas
- Baby Carrots
