Hey friends! Today I wanted to talk to you about something that happens to most of us Lunchbox Bloggers every school year…Lunchbox Burnout. Sometime during the second semester of school we all start running low on ideas for fun lunches, for months we’ve put our hearts into thinking up clever food art creations and then suddenly we hit a creative slump. That’s where I am in my life right now. I haven’t created something that’s what I would call “blogworthy” in months, I can’t seem to find my creativity right now. So I’m switching gears here on Growing Up Greens.
I think that most of you Moms and Dads come to Green Lunches, Green Kids to get ideas for packing your kids (and even your own) lunch boxes on the daily. You’re not going to spend hours crafting an elaborate lunchbox scene every day, and that’s okay, because neither am I. I love looking at meticulously crafted food art, but I’m just not in that mindset right now. I’m deep in the trenches of Mom-ing currently, we’re fresh off a move, homeschooling two kids, and trying to keep up with a three-anger. I’m on autopilot trying to get through each day as it comes at me. So that’s why (at least for the time being) I’ll be sharing more ideas of everyday food options that aren’t exactly pretty. They’ll still be easy, filling, and fresh just not necessarily the silly, themed lunches that I’ve done in the past. I hope you’ll understand and stick around!
