A few weeks ago when we were at Disney World we had the opportunity to visit Akershus in Epcot for an early morning breakfast with Disney royalty. Akershus’ Princess Storybook Dining is just fantastic. Kaylee and I loved it so much. Today I want to share why I think all Princess lovers should try to visit at least once.
1. You Get To See 5 Princesses In One Place!
Instead of traipsing all around Disney World searching for Princesses you can see five Disney Princesses in one stop! I mean where else are you going to interact with both Cinderella and Belle at once?
2. There’s No Lines!
Any mom who has stood in line for hours waiting to see their child’s favorite Princess will know, it’s a total time suck. I’d rather be riding rides than standing around waiting in line. The ladies come to each table and visit with your family, for longer than you get at the regular meets. Snow White was particularly adorable.
3. You Can Get Into Epcot Early People!
There is something special about being in a Disney Park when there is practically no one else around. You can get some A-MAY-ZING photos!
4. The Princess Parade!
About once an hour or so all five Princesses come out and your children can parade around the restaurant with the ladies. It’s adorable.
5. Seeing Your Childs Face Light Up!
This is the most important so I saved it for last. Look at my sweet Kaylee’s little face. She was in love. It made every penny of the (pretty) pricy breakfast that morning worth it. I know it’s an experience she’s going to remember forever.
Am I going to make Princess Storybook Dining an every Disney trip thing? Probably not. It was $170 with tip for our family to eat breakfast. I do however think that at least one character dining meal a trip is definitely happening. I’m thinking Chef Mickey’s next time!
I’d love to see Disney come out with some character dining options my boys would love… Avenger’s Dining would be awesome, Star Wars Dining would be cool. Maybe Disney will give us a Toy Story Character Dining when they open the new Toy Story Land! I would absolutely love that one!
